“I like good strong words that mean something.”

I was born in rural Texas to an elementary school teacher and a horse trainer. As a kid, I loved writing, and I hoped to one day make it a career. I attended the University of Texas at Austin, studied Rhetoric and Writing, Journalism, and English, and received my Bachelor of Arts in 2009.

The change of scenery from a small, quiet town to a bustling city was terrifying at first, but it changed my entire perspective. I experienced things that were never available to me when I was growing up, and I met many people from all around the world—including my husband—with viewpoints and cultures that I’d never encountered before. Expanding my horizons meant my writing grew as well.

I joined the BioWare Austin team in 2014, where I moved into a narrative-centric QA role that I helped define and build from scratch. Giving feedback and sharing my storytelling expertise with writing and cinematic designers, across various projects, meant building strong connections, and in 2019, I was offered the opportunity to write for Star Wars™: the Old Republic™. After many game updates, a promotion to Lead Writer, and nearly a decade of working at BioWare Austin, I followed The Old Republic™ when it moved to its new home at Broadsword Online Games.
